After this, he was supposedly killed, exchanging fatal blows with the alternate version of himself.Īkechi's story upon arriving in Starcross is based off one simple question, 'What would happen, if one day all your problems dissapeared, and you got a second chance with a blank slate?' Akechi was confused once he arrived, believing himself killed Shido's cognitive version of him. He failed in defeating the Phantom Thieves, since he was vastly outnumbered, and ended up harming his cognitive self in that world to allow the Thieves to escape, where he requested they change Shido's heart, and end the atrocious crimes he's committed. Eventually, he confronted the Phantom Thieves in Shido's Palace, to stop them so he could personally exact revenge on Shido. He eventually became a celebrity from 'solving' these cases, even gaining actual experience as a detective on the way. He swore revenge on him, which led to him awakening his Persona, Loki, which he used to cause chaos, causing psychotic breakdowns, and mental shutdowns. After this, he passed between foster homes until he ended up in the custody of Masayoshi Shido, his biological father, who pushed himself onto Akechi's mother. She ended up dropping out of high school to care for Akechi before her abrupt death. Usually, he always tries to put a happy face on for Michi, even in his fits of anger in an attempt to give a good example for her to follow.Īkechi was raised in Tokyo, Japan by his mother, he was unsure of what she did, but he was typically sent away so she could work.
However, in the Metaverse, this all goes out the window and is replaced with a mostly cold, uncaring, almost savage attitude, which sometimes leaks into his day to day life when he's been angered. The other, being a black and navy blue outfit similar to a jester's, with a tattered black cape, and a black cold metal mask with piercing red lenses. In the Metaverse, he takes on one of two costumes, the first being a more princely white suit laced with gold, red mask, and matching cape. He's typically seen wearing a beige suit jacket with a white undershirt, black gloves and his detective's badge, with dress pants, and shoes of a similar color to his gloves.
